Company Profile

Cost Effective Solutions-Helping You to Meet Your I.T.
And Data Protection Disposal Obligations
Introduction

CDR Lincs Ltd is a company dedicated to the safe and effective disposal of the full range of I T equipment. Our policy is to dispose of all equipment, no matter how large or small, in a manner that takes into account all the relative EU regulations, the data protection acts and with a particular interest in all environmental considerations both present and future.
Service Delivery
We believe our approach is second to none. Our team may be small but all are highly experienced in their own fields and all have worked within the I.T. field for some considerable time. A small team means a personnel service for all our clients which in turn leads to our service taking into full consideration the wishes and the particular needs of each individual customer.
Contractual Relationship
As we have said before we believe in the personal touch in our relationships with our clients. Our team is dedicated to the task and all are available to any client at any time to ensure the swift and efficient completion of a contract. From the Managing Director down to our drivers we are all part of the same team. We all believe that this enables us to give the best service to customers and shows in our relationships with our clients.
General Background
Formed in mid 2001 the company was formed to fill a void in the market following the introduction of the new E.U. regulations. Based in the heart of picturesque rural Lincolnshire we feel that our location gives not only a central hub to access the entire country but a pleasant environment for our staff. Easy access to the ferry ports aids our European operations and the proximity of local docks and airports allows us full access to our worldwide clients.
Core Business Activities
We believe our company name describes our business completely as disposal and/or recycling of I T equipment of any type is our specialist and only field. With a client list ranging from the U.S.A. in the west to Pakistan in the east, from Romania and Northern Europe to South Africa , we feel the scale of our activities is self explanatory.
Owning Company
CDR Lincs Ltd is an independent company and as such we would bid for and complete any contract ourselves. We do on occasion use contractors (e.g. incineration of taped or paper media) but these activities are supervised by our own staff. All client negotiations and /or contract responsibilities are carried out solely by the staff of CDR Lincs Ltd.
Qualifications
We are fully licensed in all aspects of our particular trade under both U.K and European law, from the simple transportation to the recycling or disposal of I.T. equipment. We are also fully conscious of non regulated but nonetheless important environmental and social issues involved in our trade and act accordingly at all times. A sample copy of one of our relevant licensees are on this site So called 'paper' qualifications in the trade are rare but you can rest assured in the knowledge that all our staff are highly competent in their fields. We may be a young company but we are not young in experience as our client list should prove. As to the service we would provide this would always be based exclusively around our clients own requirements. We do in all cases tailor our service to provide the most cost effective and efficient possible within the regulations and client requirements.
Quality Management
Our quality management system would best be described by following a typical consignment through the various stages of its progress through our system.
1. Consignment collected from client by our own transport staff and delivered, under the protection of the various carrier/waste transportation licenses, direct to our premises in Louth.
2. An audit made of each individual item including Make, Model, and Asset number if applicable.
3. Each item tested and categorised and a decision made to either recycle in whole or in part or to commit for destruction and disposal.
4) Data Destruction
C.D R Lincs Ltd data purge utility is fully programmable, allowing multiple overwrites. The standard default is one overwrite with any number of additional overwrites programmable. The other defaults are three and seven times (US Military).
1) The utility is able to destroy contents of whole hard drives, including partition tables, boot records, file system structures, operating system files and user files.
2) It shreds data according to U.S. Department of Defense recommendations to destroy data (DoD 5200.28-STD): seven pass extended character rotation wiping.
3) Contents of hard drives are wiped without any dependence of files system used to format the drives (FAT, NTFS, HPFS or other).
As the utility uses low-level disk access, hard drives will be wiped without any regards to file system used on the hard drive partitions (whether it is DOS/Windows file system or not).
We also offer A Degaussing Service for our customers this completely renders the drive unusable Degaussing of the drive consists of passing the drive through a strong alternating magnetic field.  The alternating magnetic field removes all magnetic patterns from the drive, thus eliminating all data and formatting. this service is also available for other forms of media i.e. tapes and fdd’s

5. Items destined for disposal are stripped of usable components sorted and then destroyed.
6. Items for recycling are again checked, labeled as to type, capacity etc, cleaned and eventually sold/donated or otherwise disposed of.
7. A completed audit showing eventual disposal method dispatched to the client (both digital and hard copies supplied) together with the required certificates of disposal. These must be retained by law by the client for a period of not less than 2 years. At CDR Lincs Ltd we retain copies for at least five years.
At all stages experienced staff only carry out each process ensuring complete and clean disposal of all equipment.

The Duty of Care Is set out in section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990. C D R Lincs Ltd will always ensure that the waste is managed properly, recovered or disposed of safely, does not cause harm to human health or pollution of the environment and is only transferred to someone who is authorized to receive it.

CDR Lincs Limited Service Implementation Our policy on service implementation is based on client requirements. Following the calculation of the logistics of the task bearing in mine client wishes, implementation can take place within days and / or at the client's convenience.
As regards to experience of we would like to refer you to the lists immediately preceding this section.
Contract Implementation
On this particular subject may we first refer you to section on Quality Management which covers much of the information you request.
1. Removal and transportation will be carried by our own staff and vehicles or by contracted transport supervised by CDR Lincs Ltd.
2. A full Audit etc. will and must be carried out in all cases as it is required by law under present legislation.
3. The cleansing of data will also be carried out not only as a matter of course on all equipment whether for resale or re-use but also to comply with the law.
4. Many of our clients do offer their staff ex company refurbished equipment and we suggest a company circular or similar be produced giving our address etc. and we are always happy to oblige.
5. Our company exists to aid our clients through the minefield of legislation and environmental issues of I T disposal. We have a policy of minimal disposal where possible which automatically increases revenue gains for both ourselves and our clients.
Lead in Time
Once awarded a contract for disposal lead in time can be measured in hours rather than weeks. Calculation of the logistics carried out by our own office staff can normally be completed and the client informed within the day. The only possible delay being the inability of our transport to be in two places at one time. In extreme cases supervised contract transport can and will be used. Lead in time therefore hardly exists and we are at the disposal of our clients.
Future Contracts
Improvement in services is an ongoing subject throughout our company. Consultations with and suggestions from our clients is actively sought. We are determined to give the best and most complete service to our clients both present and future. Adding Value Our aim is to be the best. As we have pointed out before our expertise covers many fields ranging from palm top computers to the largest mainframes, from personnel phones to exchanges, from the largest down to the minute in the I.T. world. As said before we are a young company that is old in experience. All of our key personnel have years of experience in their selected fields and our company has been formed round them and for them.
In Conclusion

We hope our short profile has been of interest to you and look forward to being of service in the future.
Kind Regards
The CDR Lincs Ltd Team
